The Future Salon is making a rapidly changing world fascinating, manageable, and profitable for you.
We are almost 1000 mostly San Francisco Bay Area people interested in exploring possible futures and influencing our future in a positive way. Our new tag line is: Boldly creating a world that works for all.
We usually have our Future Salon on the third Thursday of the month from 6pm to 9pm usually with a theme and an expert presenter covering that particular field.
We are still small enough, between 40-110 participants, to have a lively discussion during the Salon, where the different background and viewpoints of the audience lead to very interesting new insights.
These discussions are often continued afterwards in a restaurant close by
and sometimes go on until we are thrown out. Die hards have been seen hours
later still standing on the sidewalk deep into conversations.
A couple of years ago I, Mark Finnern the founder of host of the Future Salon, got interviewed by Rachel Beth Egenhoefer for the Switch magazine about the Future Salon. The article has some more details, especially about my motivation for doing it.
