Update: We were able to add Christine Peterson to our panel. See further down. Very cool.
So super excited to be able to host or actually co-host a Future Salon this year. We moved back to the Bay Area and even though I am super busy with organizing SAP TechEd we are able to squeeze one Future Salon in on the Thursday the 1st of November. Please RSVP. We are co-hosting with Layla Sabourian and her First Thursday Silicon Valley Online Community/Social Media.
As some of you may know I presented at TEDxCC in Savannah my 5 ideas on how to bring out Schools into the 21st century.
I love TED, my only little frustration is that there is no discussion about the theme right after the talk.
My presenters often tell me that the Future Salon audience asks the best questions, and for me it is the most interesting part of the evening. Therefore we came up with the following format for this Future Salon.
We have invited a panel of speakers each having 10 minutes to introduce their perspective on the Future of Health. Right after their presentation we will have 10 minutes of Q&A. Once all panel members have spoken, we take a 10 minute break for people to mingle, discuss the new insights and then we bring back all presenters to the front for another half an hour or hour of questions from the audience.
Can’t wait to experience that. When I pinged Adam Bosworth to ask him whether he is interested to share his view on the role of gamification in the future of health, he wrote back one line: This sounds like fun.
That is exactly what all of this is about: exciting, mind blowing, engaging fun. See you there.
Here is our panel:
Adam Bosworth Co-Founder of Keas a social wellness game: The Future of Corporate Wellness.
Christine Peterson Co-Founder of Foresight Institute and Chairman of Personalized Life Extension Conference. She will describe the Quantified Self movement, DIY health & longevity, and nanotech medical applications.
Faheem Ahmed SAP's VP of Design and New Applications. He will introduce and demo Care Circles: Making it easier to care for the people you love.
Please RSVP so that we can order the right amount of drinks and light refreshments proudly sponsored by SAP Labs.
TED’s tagline is: Ideas worth spreading. Future Salon’s tag line could be Ideas worth further exploring.
Can’t wait to see you and engage with all of you on the 1st of November. 6-7pm networking 7-9pm Salon.
SAP Labs North America, Building 1, Room: Southern Cross. There will be signs. SAP is located at 3410 Hillview Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304[map]. Free and open to the public.
If you can't join in person, please join the webcast and online discussion at https://sap.na.pgiconnect.com/fs/ (We will relay your online questions to the speakers.)
