Aslan Noghre-kar who is helping me develop the SAP Mentor program at SAP said today: We don't hear enough from Africa, or what we get is via the Discovery Channel. I am coming to the Future Salon to hear the real story first hand.
He is so right, when do you have the chance to actually talk to a Maasai Warrior and Chief about how the times are changing in his tribe and what we can learn from them. Check it out.
This picture is Salaton and Sabore finding a book about the Masaai at Karin and Mark Yolton's house and of course being very fascinated. One day I will find a cafe table book about the Black Forest somewhere, I can't wait.
Details:This Thursday 22nd of May 6-7pm networking 7-9pm talk at SAP Labs in Palo Alto [map]
Bio and more background in a previous post.
Late Breaking News: (Waited all my blogger life to be able to write these three words ;-)
Before they come to visit us Thursday night for “Future Salon”, Salaton and Sabore (the two Maasai warriors and one is
a chief) will visit the International School of the Peninsula to speak with
grades 2-7 there. I just learned that KTVU-TV channel 2 will cover that visit.
So, if you don’t get to join in the evening but are interested, you might catch
them on the 5pm or 6pm news on channel 2.
