Jon Udell is asking: Should we exhibit GMail in the Museum of Jurassic Technology?
GMail as being the Google's email service announced on April 1st and for hours people weren't sure whether it is a prank or not. (It isn't and it is :-)
Jon Udell is recommending to add this prank to the Museum of Jurassic Technology
Here his description of it:
There is a place in Los Angeles I've never visited, but would love to: The Museum of Jurassic Technology. It is the subject of Lawrence Wechsler's delightful 1995 book, Mr. Wilson's Cabinet Of Wonder: Pronged Ants, Horned Humans, Mice on Toast, and Other Marvels of Jurassic Technology. One Amazon reviewer called the museum "a straight-faced, Andy Kaufman-esque joke, blending exhibits that look too nutty to be true, but are true, with outright hoaxes."
It would be so cool to get a bunch of people together and do a roadtrip to the museum. If it were in the Bay Area I would, but to LA and back is just too many road hours fro my taste. I guess I just have to make sure to swing by next time I am in LA.
May be one of our brothers and sisters of the LA Futurists picks up the idea.
